Postpartum Planning & Support

Bringing home a new baby can be joyful, overwhelming, and full of unexpected challenges. Drawing on my experience as a registered nurse, birth doula, and postpartum support specialist, I help families navigate the physical, emotional, and logistical realities of the fourth trimester. From postpartum planning during pregnancy to recovery support and care coordination after birth, my goal is to help you feel confident, supported, and connected to the resources you need. These packages focus more on the nursing care needs of the birthing parent than on pure lactation/breastfeeding support, but feeding support is included. These services make an excellent baby shower or new parent gift.

Postpartum Support Packages

For pregnant families who want proactive support before baby arrives, this 90-minute home visit (or in a location or your choosing) ideally takes place between 28 and 36 weeks. Following a detailed assessment of your goals, plans, expectations, and needs for the postpartum period, I will create a customized postpartum support plan. Includes a 30-minute virtual check-in within 2 weeks after birth.

For most parents, scheduled postpartum follow-up care does not occur until around 6 weeks after birth. During these 6 weeks, many parents may have additional support needs related to immediate postpartum recovery, such as bleeding and pain, physical healing, and emotional wellbeing. They may also have baby-related concerns with feeding, weight gain, and development. This package includes two visits within the first two weeks after birth to address immediate needs, monitor healing, and reassess as needed. Includes 2 weeks of messaging support.

This package nurtures the birthday parent and the new family’s needs with 3 separate home visits individually designed to assess and support physical recovery, sleep, nutrition, mental health, feeding, goal setting, resource referrals, and back-to-work support if applicable. You will receive a personalized wellness plan and 30 days of messaging support.

This comprehensive care package combines the Fourth Trimester Planning Visit with the Postpartum Recovery & Wellness Package, for a total of 4 home visits. This includes a postpartum planning appointment during pregnancy, an early home visit during the first two weeks after birth, and two additional postpartum support visits to address personalized needs related to your recovery, wellbeing, and additional needs.
